Denim is a Vibe

Alright Alright Alright...

Lets jump right into the very simple, go-to daily look.

The hair is blonde, it's fluffy, a haircut is most certainly overdue, but no problem when you have this kickass captains hat! I'm not exaggerating when I say that every👏🏽single👏🏽time I wear this stunner, I get hella compliments. Hella ☝🏽

The makeup is soft and not overdone; however, this Texas heat was playing me on this day. I had to set my face with primer water, a translucent powder, and some setting spray!

(I realize that's not 'every day' standard for everyone, but give me a break, this was a photoshoot)

Juan and I decided on an outdoor shoot at the Pearl Brewery in downtown San Antonio.

The sun was out and we had a nice breeze, which made for a great day and shoot!

If you're unfamiliar with this location I'll warn you that it's a very high traffic spot, especially right now as our city begins Fiesta, but worth the trip every time. Currently a very big target destination for tourists and hipsters all around! Bring your cameras and setting powders, because the views of the locals, food, drinks, and the river are all Instagram worthy.

The vision for the shoot was simple: Denim & Concrete.

For a very long time I've had a really big interest in the fashion world and the way clothes were being styled; a conflict, because my personal style is very simple and lacks that pop of high fashion or flashy statements. I like tee shirts, ripped jeans, and chucks/vans. I like simple outfits (for me, a classic) white tee shirt and dark wash denim pant does the trick.

Time to transition that simple day look to a night look you'll sport at the bar?

Jazz it up; add a plaid long sleeve to wrap around your waist, slip into your favorite leather jacket, and trade the dirty sneakers for a good boot.

Apply some eyeliner (possibly some falsies if you want that extra vavavoom), and let's go!

For this shoot I was going for something in between my two classic looks.

Essentially it's the same look

I just went with a graphic tee over a white one

Denim daddy over the Leather bad boy

& I added a clean hat to bring it up a notch.

It's pretty much guaranteed that you'll see me repeat this outfit on multiple occasions, as it's cute and simple! These two key accessories (denim jacket & captains hat) made it seem as if we actually thought out our outfit before leaving the house! It's simple, it's chic, it’s quick, and it's great for a day to night transition with out appearing as though you'd be over or under dressed.

These are two accessories that I highly recommend you consider adding to your collection, because you can really transform so many outfits.

I love a good hat and I'll search the earth for the perfect jacket.

You can never go wrong with a good denim!
